What is a Peace Warrior?

The Peace Warrior design has been one of the most popular ones in the Be Love collection every since it was introduced. It has prompted lots of discussion and even some controversy we are happy to say. Our intention has always been to create designs that promote thinking outside the box and the sharing of ideas.

I once overheard a mother in the grocery store ask if Peace Warrior is an oxymoron. My response was this, "it could be but it all depends on your concept of peace and your definition of a warrior. You see Peace comes with Justice. Things may appear calm and peaceful at first glance but without Justice you can bet there is a storm brewing just below the surface. Peace comes when justice is fought for and this process is continual because, as imperfect beings, we quite regularly see the forces of injustices creep in again. And now a warrior is one who fights. That is for certain but with what weapons is the critical question. In the battle for Justice there are no weapons more powerful than Compassion, Courage, and Love. When you throw in a heavy dose of self sacrifice into the mix you have a Peace Warrior and they are undefeatable and invincible.

The woman I was sharing with responded saying," oh well yes, it's all how you look at it isn't it."
